Our trip to Salzburg

People go to Salzburg because of the culture. Salzburg is very traditional and typical Austrian. The mountains, the old city, the country feeling and of course the birth house of Mozart attract the people to Salzburg.

The green city borders Germany and it´s located at the foothills of the Alps. The river Salzach runs through the historical city. The famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was also born there, and yes, music is a big deal in this well-known city.

Salzburg is a very natural, green and small town. The hills stay right in the middle of the city and that shows us that Salzburg is quite different from Vienna. One theatre, the “Felsenreitschule” and the opera, for example is right inside the hill, and that´s very particular.

There are many, many attractions in Salzburg. The birth house of Mozart is popular, just as much as the Getreidegasse, which is a shopping street. Not to exclude Hellbrunn with the stunning water games, Mirabell Gardens, Festung Hohen Salzburg , Stift Nonnberg, Leopoldskron and not to forget the whole Sound of Music Tour attractions.

I think you can experience a lot of things there, that you can´t experience anywhere else, that includes – as already mentioned many times – the Sound of Music Tour. The Salzburg festivals and the music are very unique.

Salzburg has every kind of lodging. There are hotels, youth hostels, camping sites and bed and breakfast (b&b).
