On Saturday, the 20th of June four classes of our school flew to Malta. It was our class, the 2HMB, then the 2 FKA, 2 FKB and the 2 FM. Altogether we were a big group, about 60 students.
We arrived in Malta late in the evening and we were all taken to our host families, where we stayed for 6 days.
First day in Malta we had an orientation tour by bus, passing through St Julians, Sliema, Gzira, Msida, Pieta and Valletta.
In the evening we went to the bowling centre, where we enjoyed a bowling competition.
On Sunday we had a full day excursion to the beautiful island of Gozo. We went there by bus and ferry. There we saw the famous Azure Window, it is amazing, as you can see in the picture. We made a little boat trip to see the beautiful caves.
On Monday school started at 8:00 o´clock and first of all we needed to write an assessment test. We were split up in different classes. School was fun but also very exhausting because we really had to work hard.
On Monday afternoon we went to Valletta, the capital city of Malta. We visited the old opera ruins and the beautiful St John´s Co-Cathedral. Then we watched a movie about Malta, it is called the Malta Experience and explains impressively the history of Malta.
On Tuesday school started again at 8 o´clock and after school we had a free afternoon. We could do everything we wanted, like going to the beach or shopping in the city.
On Wednesday we had our last school day. Our teachers were all really friendly and we learned a lot! At 14:30 the tour bus picked us up from school and we started our Mdina and Rabat Tour.
We visited some famous places and saw the great St Paul’s Church & Grotto, Palazzo Vilhena, Mdina Cathedral and Cathedreal Square and many more.
The weather was great all the time!
On Thursday !at 4 am in the morning! a bus picked us up from our host families and took us to the airport.
All in all we had a great time in Malta and learned a lot!
It was great!
