Malta – all you can see and experience in less than one week
On October 19th we, which was Mrs. Stindl and Mrs.Dopplinger and our class the 3FMA, left for Malta. There a full sightseeing and entertainment programm kept us very busy. Although the weather could have been a little bit better, we still enjoyed some sunny moments on a visit to Golden Bay Beach, including a nice walk through the national park. There we took many pictures standing on the cliffs and looking at the beautiful blue sea.
A harbour cruise was another high-light, getting to know the two natural harbours on either side of Valetta – the Marsamxett Harbour and the Grand Harbour. Especially the fortresses very really amazing and our tour-guide told us about the history and the many battles that took place there. Being back in Valetta, we had time to admire the many churches, palaces ,fountains and ancient monuments.
But this was not everything – we also took the public bus to St. Julian’s with its beautiful boulevard and nice cafes. Bugibba, was another charming town, where we could buy some little gifts for our families and friends back home.
Last but not least we had an exciting Jeep Safari, getting to know the landscape of the island. The sudden thunder-storm and hail made it even more thrilling and soaking wet we felt like explorers, sharing a great adventure.
No wonder, we were really exhausted when we took the plane back to Vienna but one thing is for sure: we will never forget this trip and will keep our diaries, in which we wrote down everything we have experienced on the island of Malta!
